Volleyball Battles with Northwestern Oklahoma State

ALVA, Okla. – The East Central University volleyball team played one of the final two road matches of the 2021 regular-season, falling to Northwestern Oklahoma State 3-1 (25-16, 21-25, 28-26, 25-21).

Scoring
  • Set 1: 16-25
    • The Rangers (10-18, 5-9 GAC) took an early 5-0 advantage
    • NWOSU quickly built the lead out to as many as 14 (23-9)
    • The Tigers (13-13, 9-5 GAC) made a late push, but were not able to get closer than nine
  • Set 2: 25-21
    • The teams traded serves at the start of the set for a 4-4 tie
    • ECU went on a 4-0 run to take an 8-4 advantage
    • NWOSU countered with a 4-0 run to tie the set at eight
