Men’s Basketball Plays Final Game Before Holiday Break at Oklahoma Baptist

SHAWNEE, Okla. – The East Central University men's basketball team played its final game before a 12-day break for the holiday's at Oklahoma Baptist, falling 82-71 at the Noble Complex.

Scoring
  • 1st Half: 26-42
    • The teams traded shots in the first two minutes
    • The Bison (6-4, 3-1 GAC) then with on a 6-0 run in the next 1:30 minutes to take the lead
    • The Tigers (3-7, 1-3 GAC) kept fighting, but could not get closer than four the rest of the half
    • OBU kept up the pressure and used several runs to increase the advantage to and many as 20
  • 2nd Half:45-40 (71-82)    
    • ECU kept the disadvantage around 15 for most of the stanza
    • The Tigers cut the deficit to as little as 10 (6 minutes left)
    • OBU made a final push in the final minute and had the lead back out to 20 (60-80)
    • ECU finished the half strong with an 11-2 run
