Women’s Basketball Finishes 2021 at Harding

SEARCY, Ark. – After a break for the holiday's, the East Central University women's basketball team dropped a 67-55 decision to Harding at Rhodes-Reaves Field House.

Scoring
  • 1st Quarter: 13-13
    • The Bisons (7-3, 3-1 GAC) started with a 5-0 run in the first minute of play
    • The Tigers (5-4, 2-3 GAC) followed with a 12-2 run over the next 5:30 minutes to gain a 12-7 advantage, with 3:38 remaining
    • Harding fought back in the next three minutes to tie the game at 12, with 30 seconds remaining
    • Each team hit a free throw in the last seconds of the quarter for the 13-all tie
  • 2nd Quarter: 13-21 (26-34)
    • The teams traded shots for the first three minute, with ECU leading 18-17
    • The Bisons then used a 6-0 run to take a 23-18 lead, over the next three minutes
    • The back-and-forth battle continued until two minutes remained in the half
    • Harding then went on a 6-0 run to end the stanza with an 8-point advantage
