Tiger Athletics Week at a Glance – March 9-13
ADA, Okla. – While the East Central University men's and women's basketball seasons have come to a close, the ECU football team and men's and women's track and field teams will open their season this week. The Tigers will also see competition from softball, volleyball, baseball and soccer.
The softball team will open the week for ECU and their Great American Conference series against archrival Southeastern Oklahoma State, Tuesday, March 9. The team will play a doubleheader in Durant, Okla., starting at 1 p.m. The teams will finish the series April 6 in Ada, Okla.
The volleyball team will then battle with Southwestern Oklahoma State, Wednesday, March 10 at 7 p.m. in the Kerr Activities Center.
The football team will then start their action for the year at Southern Nazarene, Friday, March 12 at 3 p.m.
The Tigers softball and baseball teams are scheduled to play on Friday and Saturday against Oklahoma Baptist. The softball team will host their first games of the year March 12-13. The baseball team will hit the road for their first away GAC series.

The soccer team will then head to Arkadelphia, Ark., to face Ouachita Baptist, Saturday, March 13 at 1 p.m.
The men's and women's track and field teams round out the events for the week, participating at the University of Texas at Tyler Ice Breaker Challenge, Saturday, March 13.
