Men’s Basketball Opens Four-Game Road Stand at Northwestern

ALVA, Okla. – After having Thursday off because of the winter weather that come through the area earlier this week, the East Central University men's basketball team started a four-game road trip at Northwestern Oklahoma State, falling 74-53.

Scoring
  • 1st Half: 20-30
    • The teams traded shots for a 4-all tie, with 17:15 remaining
    • The teams then traded small runs, with no team leading by more than five for the first nine minutes
    • The Rangers (15-6, 10-5 GAC) then used a 9-0 run to take a 10-point advantage, with 8:30 left to play
    • The Tigers (8-11, 6-7 GAC) kept the disadvantage around 10 for the remainder of the half
  • 2nd Half:
    • NWOSU came out strong in the second half, going on an 11-2 run in the first three minutes to push the advantage to 19
    • The score was kept around the same deficit the rest of the game
