Roush Named D2 All-American Honorable Mention

ADA, Okla. - The Don Hansen Football Committee has released the 2022 Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-America team. Devon Roush represented East Central University football as an Honorable Mention selection.

Roush was a dominant force all season for the Tiger defense. He finished his junior campaign earning D2CCA Second Team All-American, D2CCA First Team All-Super Region 3, Great American Conference Defensive Player of the Year, and All-GAC First Team honors.
 
The Manvel, TX, native led the Tigers in tackles with 110 and finished second in the GAC and 28^th in the nation in tackles per game at 9.2. He is the first ECU player to have 100 or more tackles since 2016. Roush had six games this season with 10 or more tackles, with his best game against Southwestern Oklahoma with 15.
 
The Don Hansen team carries out the legacy of long-time small college football advocate Don Hansen, who passed away at age 75 on Aug. 29, 2010. Hansen, from Brookfield, Ill., started and published Don Hansen's National Weekly Football Gazette for three decades, selecting NCAA Division II All-America teams for the first time in 1988.
