WARRENSBURG, Mo. – The Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) announced its 2023 Central Region Women's Soccer All‐Region Teams on Tuesday, and East Central University senior defender Tanja Bauböck garnered First Team All-Central Region accolades to cap off her standout career with the Tigers.

Bauböck, a native of Munderfing, Austria, secures her first career D2CCA All-Region honor, marking only the second time in ECU program history that a player received such recognition. She advances to the D2CCA All-America voting period seeking to become the first D2CCA All-American from ECU soccer.

The 2023 Great American Conference Defensive Player of the Year and four-time All-GAC First Team selection played in 1,591 minutes out of a possible 1,620 minutes across the 18 matches this season. Bauböck not only solidified the Tigers' backline, but also contributed offensively, registering 36 shots, 20 shots on goal, and netting two goals. By the end of the season, she had four points and moved her career total to 32.

For her efforts, Bauböck leaves her name on several ECU Career Top-10 Records including No. 10 in minutes played (4,345) and points (32), No. 8 in goals (15), No. 5 in game-winning goals (3), No. 3 in shots on goal (73), and the top spot in both penalty kicks made (4) and total shots (139).

D2CCA will release the All-America selections on Wednesday, Dec. 6.
