Henderson would answer back in the home half of the third, though, to tie the game 1-1.
After surrendering one run in the third inning, ECU starting pitcher

Dawerlyn Amancio allowed ECU to jump ahead 3-0.
The Tigers added an insurance run in the eighth after
Mason Glowacki and
Cooper Hunt led off with a single, advanced to second and third from a Reddies throwing error, then Glowacki came home after
Tanner Collins hit up the middle for the 4-1 series-opening win.
