Track & Field Competes at KT Woodman Classic
WICHITA, Kan. – The East Central University men's and women's track & field teams competed at the KT Woodman Classic this past weekend, hosted by Wichita State University, and generated nine new personal bests to go along with three new season bests to close out the meet.

The Tigers were highlighted by a first-place finish in the men's 3000 steeplechase by junior
Michael Iyali in a time of 9:29.50. This is Iyali's second victory in the 3000 steeplechase this season, with his previous top finish at the Hendrix College Alumni Invite on March 11.
Aspel Kiprob claimed the only NCAA DII provisional marks for the Tigers with a third-place finish in the 5000 meter run with a time on 14:16.02.
On the women's side, the Tigers were led by
Abigael Kemboi who placed 14
th in the 5000 meter run with a time of 18:10.18.
The East Central University men's and women's track & field teams will split the squads to two meets next week, including the Sooner Invite (April 14-15) and the Bryan Clay Invitational (April 13-15).
