WICHITA FALLS, TX – The East Central University volleyball team concluded its final non-conference game of the 2024 season, falling in straight sets to Midwestern State University on Tuesday.
The Tigers struggled to establish and maintain a consistent offensive rhythm, starting off slow in the first set and losing by a decisive score of 25-11. Although ECU picked it up in sets two and three, they could not finish the game, letting go of late leads and ultimately falling 25-21 and 25-22.
Odalys Gonzalez led with 10 kills, while
Emma Strickland contributed nine kills and 14 digs.
Ashleigh Miller defended at the net with five blocks, and
Julia Kabala tallied 28 assists.
The ECU volleyball team will shift their focus entirely to conference play, hosting NWOSU on Thursday, Oct. 31 at 6 pm.
