Kabala Repeats as GAC Setter of the Week

Julia Kabala has earned Setter of Week honors for the fifth week of the 2024 season, marking her second consecutive week receiving the accolade.
Kabala played a pivotal role leading the Tigers to a perfect 2-0 week with wins over Oklahoma Baptist University and Southern Nazarene University.
In the thrilling four-set victory against the Bison, Kabala delivered a remarkable 62 assists, ranking second in ECU history for a single match, and added 22 digs. She became the first player in Division II to record at least 60 assists in a four-set match this season.
Against the Crimson Storm, Kabala posted 39 assists and 15 digs for her eighth double-double of the season. Her week's total of 101 assists placed her atop the conference, averaging an impressive 12.63 assists per set.
Kabala and the Tigers will take a break from GAC action for a non-conference game against Texas Woman's University on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 6 pm in Denton, Texas.
