Kipkemboi Earns GAC Men’s Runner of the Week Honors

Peter Kipkemboi has been named the Men's Runner of the Week accolade for week five of the 2024 season.
Kipkemboi earned ECU's fist GAC honor of the season after leading the No. 9 Tigers to their second-consecutive team title at the DBU Old Glory Gallop. He finished third overall in the individual standings, completing the 8K course with an impressive time of 23:56.7 – marking the second time in his career he has broken the 24-minute barrier.
Up next, Kipkemboi and the Tigers will set their sights on the 2024 Great American Conference Championships on Saturday, Oct. 26. ECU will host the event at Oak Hills Golf & Country Club, with additional details to be announced in the coming weeks.
