Perez Earns D2CCA All-America Second Team Honors, First All-American Kicker in ECU History
ADA, Okla. – Just hours after being named to the AFCA Division II Second Team All-America as a Specialist,
Brandon Perez earned another prestigious honor, being selected to the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) All-America Second Team Offense on Wednesday.
This marks the first time since the 2022 season that ECU football has had a player named to the D2CCA All-America team, when
Devon Roush was recognized on the Second Team Defense. Perez also makes history as the Tigers' first-ever All-American kicker.
Super Region Three produced 18 All-Americans this season, with Perez being one of just four players from the Great American Conference to receive such recognition.
Perez's impressive 2024 season has seen him accumulate numerous accolades, adding D2CCA All-America Second Team Offense to his already impressive list, which includes AFCA D2 Second Team All-America Specialist, D2CCA All-Super Region Three First Team, and First Team All-GAC honors as a kicker.
Perez had a standout 2024 campaign, helping the Tigers finish the season with a 5-6 record, including a strong finish of five wins in their last seven games, marking the best finish by any Oklahoma school in the GAC standings. Perez was flawless in his kicking duties, going 10-for-10 on field goals and converting all 19 of his PAT attempts, totaling 49 points. He also made two successful kicks from beyond 50 yards, including a career-long 54-yard field goal against Southern Nazarene University, just a week after hitting a 51-yard strike against Northwestern Oklahoma State University. Perez was also a force on kickoffs, averaging 59.6 yards on 46 attempts with 16 touchbacks.
