Women’s Track & Field Compete in Norman
NORMAN, Okla. – The East Central University women's track & field team made a trip to Norman over the weekend to compete in the John Jacobs Invitational hosted by the University of Oklahoma.

Racing against numerous Division I and Division II schools, the Tigers had their strongest performance in the 5000m race, with
Damaris Chewon leading the squad to a second-place individual finish.
Chewon crossed the finish line with a time of 17:40.74 while teammates
Aurelia Jepkorir and Naomy Limakukei secured top-10 spots, finishing sixth and seventh place, respectively. Jepkorir's time of 17:52.06 is a new personal best for the junior.
Madison Ham rounded out the Tigers' efforts in the 5000m with a time of 18:55.83, achieving a new personal best time as well.
Sharon Jesang set a new personal best time in the 800m crossing the line in 2:29.21 for 45
th place. In the field events,
Kaylyn Cotner posted a season best 1.55m mark in the high jump to finish 15
th.
The ECU track & Field team will now prepare for the Ford Mastin Twilight Meet hosted by Oklahoma Baptist University on April 20.
