RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced its top performers for the second week of the 2024 season, and East Central University's Odalys Gonzalez earned Offensive Player of the Week. She shares the award with Arkansas Tech's Henley Hooks.

Gonzalez picks up her first career GAC Player of the Week honor after putting up big numbers during the Tigers' busy schedule last week, where they finished 2-3.

Over five matches, Gonzalez led the conference with 76 total kills, averaging an impressive 4.47 kills per set while also ranking second in the GAC with 4.74 points per set. Her standout efforts included a season-high 20 kills against Anderson University and 19 kills against Texas A&M International to help the Tigers earn a win at the Rattler Invitational.

Her impact also extended to the back row, where she recorded 58 digs and registered three double-double performances. Gonzalez's consistent performance earned her a spot on the All-Tournament Team at the Rattler Invitational, her second All-Tournament honor of the season. She was one of two ECU players recognized.

Gonzalez and the Tigers will officially start their Great American Conference schedule tomorrow, Sept. 17 as they take on Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva at 6 pm.
