Kabala Earns GAC Setter of the Week Honor

Julia Kabala has been named the GAC Setter of the Week for the fourth week of the 2024 season.
This is Kabala's first honor of the season and the third of her career following her standout performances during ECU's undefeated 2-0 weekend in conference play.
The Warsaw, Poland native posted two double-doubles, recording 98 assists, averaging 19.6 per set, along with 34 digs and six blocks.
Kabala was instrumental in ECU's first GAC win of the season, securing the decisive kill in a thrilling five-set victory over rival Southeastern Oklahoma State. She tallied a season-high 53 assists and added 14 digs. In the Tigers' reverse sweep against Southwestern Oklahoma State, she delivered 45 assists and a season-high 20 digs.
Kabala and the ECU volleyball team will gear up for another key home GAC matchup against Oklahoma Baptist on Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 6 pm.
