Lewis and McGregor Earn GAC Player of the Week Honors

Alexander McGregor earning Defensive and Special Teams Player of the Week honors after their standout performances in the Tiges' dominant 44-22 win over Southern Arkansas University.
The recognition marks a career first for Lewis and the Tigers' first defensive weekly honor since the final week of the 2024 season. McGregor also added to his resume, collecting the second special teams award of his young career.
Lewis was a force on defense, turning in a career-best performance. The red-shirt sophomore form Carthage, Texas, racked up 18 tackles, including six solo stops, 12 assisted, and a tackle for loss.
On the special teams front, McGregor delivered another flawless performance. The redshirt freshman from Prosper, Texas, was perfect on the day, going 5-for-5 on extra points and connecting on a 42-yard field goal to help pad the Tigers' lead.
Lewis, McGregor, and the Tigers will now set their sights on their next Great American Conference showdown against Henderson State University on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 1 pm.
