Ezedinma Earns GAC Offensive Player of the Week Honors
RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced its weekly award winners for the 14th week of the 2024-25 season, with East Central University's
Godsgift Ezedinma earning Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week honors on Monday.
This marks Ezedinma's first career award, as he played a pivotal role in the Tigers' 1-1 performance over the weekend, highlighted by a 79-67 victory over No. 12 Southern Nazarene University on Saturday.
The senior forward delivered back-to-back 20-point games, starting with 25 points against Southeastern Oklahoma State University, where he showcased his shooting range by sinking five three-pointers and leading the team with six rebounds. In the win over SNU, Ezedinma contributed 20 points, shooting 3-for-5 from beyond the arc and 7-for-8 from the free-throw line, while also grabbing a team-high eight rebounds in the Tigers' road victory over the top-ranked Crimson Storm.
Ezedinma and the Tigers will now travel for their final Arkansas road series of the regular season this week.
