ADA, Okla. – East Central University head coach
Destini Anderson has departed from her role leading the Tiger softball program, as announced on Wednesday by ECU Athletic Director
Matt Cole.
"I am very blessed and thankful for the relationships I have built with a lot of young people over the last 19 years," Anderson said. "My time at East Central will always hold a special place in my heart."

Anderson took over as the Tigers' head coach in the Fall of 2006, following the retirement of founding coach Ron Miller. Over the course of 19 seasons, she accumulated 450 career wins, establishing herself as the longest-serving coach in program history.

"We thank Coach Anderson for the impact she has had on ECU softball over the past two decades," said Cole. "Countless student-athletes have benefited from her leadership, both on the field and in the classroom earning their degrees from ECU. We wish her the best moving forward."

The search for the next head coach of the ECU softball program will begin shortly.
