Ada, Okla. – The East Central University Athletic Department is proud to announce the ECU Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2026, consisting of four individuals and one inaugural team celebrating their 30-year anniversary.

"It is with great pride and excitement that we announce the newest class of inductees into the ECU Athletics Hall of Fame," said ECU Athletic Director Matt Cole. "These individuals have made a significant and lasting impact on our programs and university, and we look forward to celebrating their legacy this January."

The 2026 Hall of Fame Class features Class of 1973 football student-athlete Wayne Wheat, Class of 2017 men's basketball student-athlete Braxton Reeves, Class of 2011 distinguished baseball alumnus JT Gasso, and 2016 football student-athlete David Moore.

ECU will also welcome into the Hall of Fame a team that laid the foundation for their program's success, the inaugural ECU Softball team from 1995.

With these additions, ECU's Hall of Fame Class expands to 168 former student-athletes, alumni, coaches, administrators, and teams who have made significant impacts and contributions to ECU Athletics.

A formal induction ceremony will be held on Friday, January 30th at the Chickasaw Business and Conference Center. More information about the banquet, including ticket purchasing options, will be made available in the upcoming weeks.
