Women’s Track & Field Records Multiple Personal Bests at OU Crimson & Cream Qualifier

NORMAN, Okla. – The East Central University women's indoor track & field team competed Friday, Feb. 20 at the University of Oklahoma Crimson & Cream Qualifier in Norman, turning in multiple personal bests and strong performances across the board.
 
On the track, Macee Hall led the way in the 60-meter hurdles. Hall clocked a personal-best 10.597 in the prelims to qualify for the finals, then improved again with a 10.52 to place 11th overall.
 
The Tigers saw a trio of personal records in the 200 meters. Chloe Tatum finished 17th in 27.52, followed closely by Kalese Anderson in 27.91. Ellison added a 27.66, and Jordan Blades posted a 28.59. Tatum continued her strong day in the 400 meters, recording another personal best with a time of 1:06.97.
 
In the distance events, Carolyne Kimaiyo placed 10th in the 800 meters with a personal-best time of 2:38.27. Damaris Chewon added a 10th-place finish in the mile, crossing the line in 5:55.34.
 
The Tigers were especially competitive in the high jump, placing four athletes in the top seven. Lexii Lecrone and Jazmine White each cleared 1.57 meters to tie for fifth. Zoe Grooms recorded a season-best 1.52 meters to tie for seventh, alongside Kaylyn Cotner, who also cleared 1.52 meters.
 
In the long jump, Anderson highlighted the field events with a personal-best mark of 5.24 meters to finish 13th. Ellison posted a 4.83-meter jump, while McIntyre recorded a mark of 4.67 meters.
