Baseball Looks to Carry Momentum Into 2026 With Schedule Release
ADA, Okla. – The 2026 East Central University baseball schedule is officially set, featuring one early-season tournament, 12 nonconference matchups, and five Great American Conference home series at Ken Turner Field as the Tigers gear up for another competitive spring.
ECU enters the 2026 season riding the momentum of one of the most successful campaigns in recent program history. The Tigers posted their highest win total since 2016, recorded their longest winning streak since 2014, and put together their second-longest win streak of the NCAA Division II era with eight consecutive victories.
ECU will now open the 2026 season on the road at the UCO First Pitch Classic in Edmond from Feb. 5–8, facing regional opponents Emporia State, Central Oklahoma, and Pittsburg State at Wendell Simmons Field.
The Tigers' home opener is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 10, when ECU hosts Rogers State at Ken Turner Field. The contest will mark the debut of several facility upgrades, including newly installed turf on the pitcher's mound, the home plate area, and the Ram Jack on-deck circles.
Following the home opener, ECU begins Great American Conference play with a three-game series against Henderson State on Feb. 13–14. The Tigers will then travel to Rogers State on Feb. 17 before opening conference road play at Ouachita Baptist on Feb. 20–21 and Northwestern Oklahoma State on Feb. 27–28. ECU will also host Randall University for a midweek matchup on Feb. 24.
March marks the heart of conference play, with ECU alternating between home and road series throughout the month. The Tigers open March on the road at Southeastern Oklahoma State on March 3 before returning home for a three-game GAC series against Oklahoma Baptist on March 6–7. ECU remains at Ken Turner Field for a midweek matchup against Southwestern Oklahoma State, followed by a home conference series against Harding on March 13–14. The Tigers will host Oklahoma Baptist in another midweek contest before traveling to Arkansas Tech on March 20–21. March concludes with a homestand against Southeastern Oklahoma State on March 24 and Southwestern Oklahoma State on March 27–28.
April closes the regular season, beginning with a road series at Southern Nazarene on April 3–4. ECU then returns Ada for its home finale, hosting Southern Arkansas on April 10–11 at Ken Turner Field. The Tigers will wrap up the regular season with road contests at Oklahoma Baptist on April 14, Arkansas–Monticello on April 17–18, Southwestern Oklahoma State on April 21, and Southeastern Oklahoma State on April 23–24.
