Women’s Golf Battles Tough Field at Peggy Kirk Invitational

LAKE MARY, FL – The East Central University women's golf team continued their 2026 spring campaign at the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational, hosted by Rollins College in Lake Mary, Florida, March 16-17.
 
Facing a competitive field and challenging weather, the tournament was shortened to 36 holes after Round 2 was canceled.
 
Adrianna O'Daniel led the Tigers, finishing with a two-round total of 170 (+26). She opened with a 7-over-par 79 in Round 1, highlighted by three birdies that kept ECU near the top of the leaderboard early. In the final round, O'Daniel battled both tough weather and course difficulty at Legacy Club at Alaqua Lakes, carding a 19-over-par 91 to secure her top team finish.
 
Gabby Hack placed 51st overall with a two-round total of 173 (+29). Hack navigated the course steadily in Round 1, posting a 13-over-par 85. With Round 2 canceled, she returned in the final round to post a 16-over-par 88, continuing to persevere through the difficult conditions.
 
Paola Gutierrez finished 52nd overall with a two-round total of 178 (+34). She opened the tournament with a 15-over-par 87, maintaining focus and composure across a challenging layout. In the final round, Gutierrez carded a 19-over-par 91, showing determination throughout the tough weather and course conditions.
 
Addison Furtick rounded out the team scoring, finishing 54th with a two-round total of 185 (+41). After a challenging 23-over-par 95 in Round 1, Furtick returned in the final round to post an 18-over-par 90, demonstrating resilience and steady improvement across both rounds.
 
Gracie Lasiter closed out the Tigers' lineup, finishing 57th overall with a two-round total of 197 (+53). She battled through a 24-over-par 96 in Round 1 and followed with a 29-over-par 101 in the final round, showing perseverance despite tough conditions at Legacy Club at Alaqua Lakes.
