Women’s Golf Debuts 2026 Season at Hillcat Classic
OWASSO, Okla. – The East Central University women's golf team opened their 2026 season at the Hillcat Classic, hosted by Rogers State University at Bailey Ranch Golf Club on March 9-10.
Addison Furtick led the Tigers with a strong showing, finishing 11th overall with a two-round total of 165 (+21). Furtick opened the tournament with a 12-over-par 84 in Round 1, carding a solid front nine and battling through a challenging back nine to stay near the top of the leaderboard. She followed with a 9-over-par 81 in Round 2, showing improved consistency and steady play across both nines to secure her top-15 finish.
Paola Gutierrez finished next for the Tigers, placing 31st overall with a two-round total of 175 (+31). She opened the tournament with a 14-over-par 86 in Round 1, navigating a tough front nine before rebounding on the back nine. In Round 2, Gutierrez carded a 15-over-par 89, demonstrating grit and perseverance to post her first spring tournament scores with ECU.
Gabby Hack made her first appearance with the Tigers this season, finishing with a two-round total of 176 (+32) at the Hillcat Classic. Hack opened her debut tournament with a 92 (+20) in Round 1, tackling the challenges of Bailey Ranch Golf Club while adjusting to competition with ECU. She bounced back in Round 2 with an 84 (+12), showing noticeable improvement and composure in her first collegiate tournament.
Gracie Lasiter finished 34th overall for the Tigers with a two-round total of 178 (+34). Lasiter opened the tournament with an 85 (+13) in Round 1, facing a demanding course layout. She followed with a 93 (+21) in Round 2, fighting through a challenging back nine and demonstrating steady effort across both days.
Adrianna O'Daniel rounded out the Tigers' lineup, finishing 37th overall with a two-round total of 179 (+35). O'Daniel opened with an 84 (+12) in Round 1 and followed with a 95 (+23) in Round 2, showing perseverance and steadily gaining confidence as she navigated her first spring competition with the team.
