Women’s Track & Field Compete at OBU Invitational
SHAWNEE, Okla. – The East Central University women's track & field team delivered a competitive weekend at the Oklahoma Baptist Invitational in Shawnee March 27-28.
The Tigers were led in the field events, where
Kalese Anderson turned in one of ECU's top finishes of the meet, placing fourth in the long jump with a mark of 5.76 meters.
Jazmine White matched that finish, tying for fourth in the high jump after clearing 1.58 meters, while also competing in the 200 meters (28.61).
Additional high jump performances came from Lexii LeCrone, who cleared 1.53 meters, and Isabel Gabbert and
Kaylyn Cotner, who each recorded marks of 1.48 meters.
Haley Ellison also competed in the long jump, posting a mark of 4.81 meters.
On the track,
Haley Ellison led ECU in the sprints with times of 12.59 in the 100 meters and 26.62 in the 200 meters.
Chloe Tatum added times of 13.04 in the 100 meters and 1:03.47 in the 400 meters, while
Destiny Jennings recorded marks of 27.82 in the 200 meters and 1:03.89 in the 400.
Additional sprint efforts included
Jordan Blades (27.70 in the 200 meters) and
Jazmine White (28.61 in the 200 meters).
In the hurdles,
Macee Hall posted a time of 17.79 in the 100-meter hurdles.
In distance action,
Mercy Kibiwott rounded out the top performances with a sixth-place finish in the 5000 meters (19:16.52).
