Women’s Golf Close Out Season at GAC Championships
TULSA, Okla. – Returning to the postseason stage for the first time since 2016, the East Central University women's golf team competed at the Great American Conference Championships held at Page Belcher Golf Course in Tulsa, a familiar venue that also served as both the starting and ending point of the Tigers' 2025-26 campaign.
The three-day, 54-hole tournament marked ECU's first appearance since 2016, as the Tigers competed against 10 other GAC programs. It also served as the final collegiate tournament for
Paola Gutierrez and
Adrianna O'Daniel, who closed out their careers in the Tiger lineup.
Addison Furtick led East Central with a steady three-round performance, carding scores of 81, 82, and a tournament-best 80 to finish at +30 overall. She opened with a consistent front nine in round one before navigating a challenging back, then showed early promise in round two by playing her first four holes under par. Furtick closed strong in the final round, posting her lowest score of the tournament.
Adrianna O'Daniel followed as ECU's next finisher, posting rounds of 84, 90, and 86 to finish at +47 overall. She opened with an 84, highlighted by a steadier back nine where she shaved strokes and carded a 40 coming in. In round two, O'Daniel battled through a tougher day to post a 90, but bounced back in the final round with an 86, her second-best score of the tournament. Her closing round included a strong stretch on the front nine and a birdie early in the day, showing resilience as she finished out the championship for the Tigers.
