Men’s Cross Country Dominates Aggie Duels, Claims First Place
LAWTON, Okla. – The East Central University men's cross country team opened the 2026 season in dominant fashion Friday, racing to a first-place finish at the Aggie Duels hosted by Cameron University in Lawton. The Tigers posted a team score of 29 points to win the six-team field.
ECU controlled the top of the leaderboard, claiming the first four individual spots of the race.
Donald Kipsang led the way for the Tigers, capturing the individual title with a time of 24:41.1.
Emmanuel Kemboi followed closely behind in second at 24:45.2, while
Meshack Kosgei finished third with a time of 25:09.4 and
Isaiah Blevins rounded out the top four at 25:17.9.
Dallin Mortensen was the next Tiger across the finish line, placing 21st with a time of 28:02.6.
Kolton Rogers finished 26th at 28:17.1, followed by
Ismael Pizano in 28th at 28:35.4.
Huston Holder rounded out the ECU lineup in 43rd with a time of 29:34.4.
The Tigers will return to action on Saturday, Sep. 19 at the Missouri Southern Stampede in Joplin, Missouri.
