East Central University Athletics

2016: Helped the Tigers claim their third-straight GAC Cross Country Championship…earned All-GAC Cross Country First Team honors…claimed USTFCCCA All-Central Region honors…participated in the final five races of the season…finished in the top five ECU runners each race…had a season best time of 25:13.41 at the GAC Championship...earned All-GAC Track & Field honors after finishing second in the 5,000 meters (15:01.90).
 
2015: Named the GAC Freshman of the Year and to the All-GAC First Team…finished seventh at the GAC Championships in a season best time of 25:29.62…participated in the 1,500 and 5,000 meters during track & field…had season best times of 4:10.71 in the 1,500 and 15:02.89 in the 5,000 meters…named to the ECU Spring Dean’s List.
 
Before ECU: Four-year member of the Eufaula High School cross country and track & field teams…helped the team claim fourth at the regionals for cross country as a junior…finished third individually in cross country at the state meet in 2014…was also second in the 3,200 and third in the 1600 at the state track & field meet…earned all-state honors as a junior and a senior.
 
Personal: Born January 13, 1997…son of Steven and Cindy Montgomery…is undecided on a major.
