Ken Jarrett begins his second season as a graduate assistant coach for the East Central University baseball team after spending one season as an assistant coach at Ohio Dominican University.
Jarrett spent the summer of 2015 as an assistant coach for the Derby Twins of the Jayhawk League, with plans to return as the head coach for the summer of 2016.
While with Ohio Dominican he worked with the outfielders and base runners, while assisting with hitters and recruiting. Jarrett was responsible for boosting the stole base production for ODU from 37 (2013) to 72 (2014).
While coaching at Ohio Dominican, Jarrett was also an assistant coach for four years (2010-14) with the Midwest Outlaws, a 17 & under travel team in Cincinnati, Ohio. He also spent the summer of 2014 as an assistant coach for the Myrtle Beach Barracudas, a collegiate summer beach league.
Jarrett played his collegiate ball at Indiana Tech University for four seasons. He helped the Warriors to three Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference tournament championships, a 2012 WHAC regular-season title and four NAIA National Tournament appearances. Jarret was a two-time Daktronics Academic All-America selection as well as a two-time WHAC All-Academic pick.
The Mason, Ohio, native earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Indiana Tech University in May 2013 and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sports administration from ECU.
