Marcus Wyatt joined the East Central University athletic training staff in the fall of 2018 as the assistant athletic trainer and became a volunteer baseball coach in 2020, working with the catchers.
Prior to joining the Tigers staff, Wyatt was a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Great American Conference rival Southern Arkansas University from 2017-2018. While with the Muleriders he was part of the baseball staff that claimed two-straight GAC Championships and advanced to the NCAA Central Regional back-to-back years. In 2018 he helped host the NCAA Central Region Tournament.
A native of Springdale, Ark., Wyatt received his bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from ECU in 2016. He went on to earn a master’s degree in Coaching from Southern Arkansas in 2018. He has also been a certified athletic trainer since 2016.
Wyatt is engaged to ECU Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and Academics and former ECU softball standout Autumn Suydam.
