Matt Benedict joined the East Central University baseball coaching staff for the 2018 season as a graduate assistant coach.
Benedict is trading sides in the arch rivalry between ECU and Southeastern Oklahoma State, after spending three seasons on the Savage Storm pitching staff.
Prior to his time at Southeastern, Benedict spent a season at Carl Albert State College. He was also an all-state selection while played at Tupelo High School.
The Tupelo, Okla., native earned a bachelor’s degree from Southeastern in May 2017 in recreation and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sports administration at ECU.
