Brian Gonzalez starts his first season on the sidelines for the Tigers, as the special teams coach, after spending the last two seasons in an orange and black uniform as the Tiger’s Punter/Kicker.

Gonzalez, who was an All-GAC first team punter and an honorable mention kicker, went 14-of-20 on his field goals and 23-of-27 on his extra point attempts in 2012. He also averaged 40.3 yards on his punts and 61.3 on kickoffs. Gonzalez ended his career by hitting a career-long 50-yard field goal against Southeastern.

The 2011 All-GAC Second Team punter averaged 41.1 yards per attempt as a junior and went 11-of-17 in field-goal tries.  The Los Angeles, Calif., native started his collegiate career at Pasadena City College.
