Chad Roark

Chad Roark, who was promoted to Defensive Coordinator for the 2015 season after being the Defensive Line Coach/Recruiting Coordinator for two years, will start his sixth season with the Tigers.  Roark started his coaching career as the offensive line coach in 2012, just after completing his playing career with the Tigers after starting on the offensive line for three seasons.
 
In the past four seasons, Roark has helped produce 12 All-Great American Conference selections.  In 2016 Camnik Campbell kept the total climbing by earning All-GAC honors.  2015 saw Lexus Jackson, Francsico Silva, Jhames West, Jameel Whitney and Karmah Yates on the teams, 2014 Daniel Holland and JuJu Turituri earned All-GAC honors, while in 2013 Alex King, Turituri, Kellan Taeatafa-DeLaRosa and Charles Ramsey were honored.
 
He was a 2009 and 2010 All-Lone Star Conference North honorable mention award winner after spending time at the University of Nebraska and the University of Oklahoma.
 
Roark was part of an offensive line which paved the way for ECU to rank first in the GAC in passing offense and passing efficiency and second in scoring offense.
 
Roark was a U.S. Army All-American out of Ada High School.
 
Roark is married to Rozalin and the couple have a daughter, Aubree, 4 and a son, Abraham 2.
