Chris Bolden is set to begin his first season with the Tiger football staff in 2024, taking on the role of wide receivers coach.
Bolden joins ECU after a successful year as an offensive analyst coach at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) where the team posted a 9-4 overall record, including an impressive 7-1 in conference play.
Before his time at UTSA, Bolden served as the wide receivers coach at Valparaiso University in Indiana during the 2022 season. Prior to that, he was the tight ends coach and assistant special teams coordinator at the University of Central Oklahoma from July 2020 to December 2021.
Bolden’s coaching journey also includes a stint as the running backs coach at Texas A&M University-Kingsville from August 2019 to January 2020, as well as a role coaching running backs at Butler Community College in Kansas from March to August 2019. He furthered honed his coaching skills with an internship at the Memphis Express of the Alliance of American Football in early 2019.
An alum of Texas State University, Bolden began his coaching career at his alma mater, where he served as the assistant running backs coach from February 2017 to January 2019. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Exercise & Sports Science from Texas State (2017) after playing running back and wide receiver for the Bobcats while later earning his master’s degree in Exercise Science from Central Oklahoma (2022).
