Devon Garrison enters his second season as the Wide Receivers Coach for the East Central University football program.
Prior to joining the Tigers in 2025, Garrison served as an assistant football coach at Elk River High School in Minnesota during the 2024 season, working primarily with the defensive backs and tight ends. During his time at Elk River, he helped guide the Elks to Northwest Suburban Conference and MSHSL Class 5A State Championships.
Garrison also gained coaching experience at Pittsburg State University as a student-athlete camp coach, working with athletes from kindergarten through high school on skill development. He later provided private instruction focused on route running, blocking, receiving technique, and overall tight end and wide receiver development.
Garrison also gained professional experience following his collegiate playing career, participating in Rookie Minicamps with the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers before signing with the Seattle Seahawks in 2024.
As a player at Pittsburg State University, Garrison earned First Team NCAA Division II All-American honors in 2023 after receiving First Team All-MIAA recognition in both 2022 and 2023. He was also named a Second Team NCAA Division II All-American in 2022 while helping the Gorillas win back-to-back MIAA Conference Championships. Prior to Pittsburg State, Garrison played at Iowa Western Community College, where he was part of multiple conference championship and bowl-winning teams.
Garrison’s playing and coaching experience has shaped his approach to player development, with an emphasis on discipline, accountability, and attention to detail. He is committed to helping student-athletes develop both on and off the field while building strong relationships with the players he coaches.
