Dilland Gardner was named a graduate assistant coach for tight ends at East Central for the 2020 season after spending the previous four seasons as a member of the Tigers team.
During his collegiate career, Gardner participated with the football and track & field teams, earning Great American Conference honors in both sports. On the football field he claimed All-GAC First Team honors as a senior (2019) and Honorable Mention as a sophomore (2017).
On the track, Gardner was a standout in the discus and shot put, earning All-GAC First Team honors in both events all four seasons. He claimed gold in discus his final two seasons and did not finish lower than third in both events during his career.
The Desoto, Texas, native earned a bachelor’s degree in history from ECU in May 2019 and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sports administration.
