Jacob Maxwell returned to the Tigers for the 2022 season after previously serving as a graduate assistant coach for offensive linemen at ECU in 2019-20.
He spent three years playing for the University of Wisconsin, but his career was sidelined due to injury. He played 18 games, with 10 starts, including a start in the Holiday Bowl vs. USC I 2015. He also volunteered as a coach during spring football for the Badgers.

The three-star recruit by ESPN.com went to the Badgers after have a standout career as a prep at Greendale High School. The offensive and defensive starter earned first team all-state honors by the Associated Press and Wisconsin Football Coaches Association, first team all-area, all-region and a unanimous First Team All-Woodland Conference, Woodland Conference Lineman of the Year accolades and was a runner-up for the Joe Thomas Award given to the state’s top offensive lineman.
The Greendale, Wisc., native earned a bachelor’s degree in life sciences communication from the University of Wisconsin in 2019. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sports administration at ECU.
