Robert Gordon started at ECU for the 2019 season as a graduate assistant coach for defensive backs.
Gordon comes to the Tigers from Wakeland High School where he coached the corners for four seasons.
He also spent two years at Stafford Middle School coaching the wide receiver and defensive backs and being the defensive coordinator.
Before starting his coaching career, Gordon was a member of the North Texas football team for five years.
The Ardmore, Okla., native earned a bachelor’s degree in sports management from North Texas in 2011 and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sports administration at ECU.
Gordon is engaged to Angela Thomas and the couple have a son named Braylon and a daughter named Ryan.
