Sam Smith was named a graduate assistant coach for the offensive line at East Central for the 2020-21 season.
Prior to joining the Tiger’s staff, Smith was the offensive line coach and run game coordinator at Oak Hills High School. The team had its best offensive season in four years under his guidance.
Smith spent the previous four seasons as an offensive lineman at Hanover College. While with the Panthers he earned First Team All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference honors.
The Cincinnati, Ohio, native earned a bachelor’s degree in communication from Hanover College in May 2020 and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sports administration.
