Tomas Brock joined the ECU men’s basketball staff for the 2013-14 season as the assistant coach. Brock will be the lead recruiter for the Tigers and will assist in all aspects of running the program. He will be responsible for scouting opponents, on-the-floor player development and the organization and administration of the program throughout campus.
Brock joins the Tigers after spending two seasons as a graduate assistant coach at Northwest Missouri State where he was involved with scouting, recruiting and administrative duties. In his two years at Northwest Missouri, Brock helped the Bearcats to two 20-win seasons, a regular-season MIAA Championship and a berth in the NCAA National Tournament.
Before starting his coaching career, Brock played at Southwest Baptist. He helped the Bearcats to an MIAA regular-season title and a Sweet Sixteen appearance, while earning All-MIAA honors as a junior and senior.
Prior to joining Southwest Baptist, Brock was a four-year starter and three-year all-state performer at Mount Vernon High School where he was coached by his father, Skip Brock.
Brock earned a master’s in health and physical education from Northwest Missouri State and a bachelor’s in finance and economics from Southwest Baptist University. He is engaged to Abby Moenkhoff.
