Herrin spent two seasons in an orange and black uniform, tallying 12 hits, 10 runs and four RBIs. She was also a standout in the classroom, with a perfect 4.0 GPA and four appearances on the ECU President’s List.
As a prep, she helped Wayne High School to a state title and two more state-tournament appearances, while claiming all-state honors as a senior.
