Lakin Preisner continues a tradition of moving from the court to the bench, as she will be a student-assistant coach for the 2018-19 season.
In just two years with the Tigers, Preisner made a large impact, resetting three career records and two single season top-10’s. She left the team ranked No. 1 in Free Throw Percentage at .941 (160-of-170), No. 4 in Double-Doubles (12) and No. 6 in Assist/Turnover Ratio (1.41).
Preisner collected All-GAC honors in both of her seasons, being named to the honorable mention team as a junior and a second-team selection as a senior.
Before coming to ECU she spent two seasons at Hutchinson Community college and helped the Blue Dragon’s to back-to-back Jayhawk Conference Championships. As a prep she played at Northern Heights High School, while also participating in volleyball, softball and track & field. She also holds a national and Kansas state record for the most consecutive free-throws made.
The Americus, Kan., native is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
