John Sutrick has been a member of the ECU cross country coaching staff since 2009 as a volunteer assistant coach, after representing the Tigers from 2005-08.
Sutrick was honored for his efforts on the course and in the classroom while at ECU, earning Lone Star Conference honors as a senior, two LSC Academic Runner of the Year honors, four LSC All-Academic Team selections, and three Academic All-American honors.
As a freshman he helped pace the Tigers to an 11th-place finish at the NCAA DII Championships in Pomona, Calif.
Sutrick earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from ECU in 2008 and a doctorate in pharmacy from Oklahoma in 2013.
