Abbey Wehrman had a strong career with the East Central University volleyball team until 2018 before she took up the role of graduate assistant coach for the 2019.
Wehrman finished her two season career with the Tigers ranked No. 9 in career digs (676) and No. 8 with a single-season digs mark (396). She also added 60 assists and 19 service aces.
She spent her first two collegiate seasons at Otero Junior College, under the tutelage of coach Melissa Anderson. She helped the Rattlers to a third-place finish in the region both seasons, while recording 1,044 career digs. She also earned All-Region 9 and All-Region 9 All-Tournament team honors as a sophomore.
The Kersey, Colo., native graduated in May 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sports administration at East Central.
