Hayley Gerken had a standout career with the East Central University volleyball team until 2015 before she took up the role of graduate assistant coach in 2016.
Gerken finished her playing career ranked in the top 10 in 10 of 12 career lists for the Tigers, including the No. 2 ranking in four categories. She is ranked No. 1 in service aces (103), total blocks (355), block solos (56) and block assists (299).
Besides her blocking skills, Gerken tallied 868 kills and a .228 career attack percentage, while playing in 441 matches as starter all four seasons.
The Orange, Calif., native graduated in May 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in counseling and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in clinical rehabilitation and clinical mental health counseling at East Central.
