ADA – East Central University football senior Jameel Whitney has been named the ECU Male Athlete of the Week for Oct. 19.

The Oklahoma City, Okla., native had a career-high 14 tackles against No. 24 Arkansas Tech and helped the Tigers win the game 20-19.  His 14 tackles helped him tie the school record for career total tackles at 278, tying the mark set by Norris Wrenn in 2012.

The 14 tackles also marked the fourth time this season and the fifth in his career with 10+ tackles in a single game.
