RUSSELLVILLE, ARK. – East Central University junior Camron Talley has been named the Great American Conference Player of the Week, for Jan. 28.  The honor is the second of the 2018-19 season.

Talley averaged 27.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game while helping the Tigers (11-6, 8-4 GAC) to two wins at home against Henderson State and Ouachita Baptist over the weekend.  He added a .500 (18-of-36) field-goal percentage and a .435 (10-of-23) three-point field goal percentage, two assists and three steals.

The Rockwall, Texas, native moved his career point total to 1,125.  That allowed him to jump up four spots on the ECU 1,000 Point Club list.  Talley passed Josh Rushing, Winifred Newsome, Bobby Shelton and Duane Goodwin to move to No. 14.  He is just four points away from passing Chuck Liston (1993-97), with 1,141 points.  He is also ranked No. 14 on the list of 1,000-Point scorers from the GAC.
