RUSSELLVILLE, ARK. – East Central University softball freshman
Paige Leschber has earned her first Great American Conference honor, being named the GAC Softball Freshman of the Week for March 25.
The Dripping Springs, Texas native, helped the Tigers split the series at Arkansas-Monticello, picking up two complete-game wins in the circle. The complete games were the first two of her career, with the second coming as a complete-game shutout, the first of her career.
In 12.0 innings, Leschber allowed just six hits and one run, while striking out six batters and allowing just a 0.158 opponent batting average and earning a 0.58 ERA.
