The East Central University women's basketball team will open up the Great American Conference portion of the season against Ouachita Baptist, Thursday, Nov. 21 at 5:30 p.m. in the Kerr Activities Center.

The Broadcast
ECU's radio home for Lady Tigers basketball in 2013-14 is Ada's KXFC, 105.5, FM 'The X-Factor'. Kenny Morrison returns to broadcast the games for his 17th season. Morrison, a 1987 ECU graduate, spent two seasons doing color prior to taking over the play-by-play duties during the 1997-98 season.

Scouting Ouachita Baptist
The other Lady Tigers are 0-2 on the season, with a -14.5 scoring deficit and -7.0 rebounding margin in their opening games. OBU has struggled to find their offense this season, shooting .359 from the field and allowing a .518 mark by the opposition.
OBU has four players scoring in double-digits for the year. Nashia James leads the team averaging 14 points and seven rebounds per game. Breanna Harris added 13 points and a .438 (7-of-16) shooting percentage. Ashley Johnson contributes 11.5 points and six rebounds per game, with shooting .727 (8-of-11) from the floor. The final player in double-digits is Elise Holman, averaging 10 points per game.
Against the Lady Tigers
Last year the two teams meet three times, with ECU holding a 2-1 advantage in the series. ECU won on its home court and then again in the quarterfinals of the GAC Tournament. The one loss for ECU was close at 72-74.
Junior
Dilan Webster led ECU with 16 points and 8.7 rebounds per game, while adding nine blocks and a .526 (20-of-38) shooting percentage.Â
Ashley Robison added 9.3 points and 11.3 boards per game.
The top returner for OBU is Nashia James, with 17.7 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.

Thursday's meeting will be the 13th in the all-time series, with ECU holding an 8-4 advantage. ECU has been the victor in the last two outings
Winning Start
The Lady Tigers are 3-0 so far to start the 2013-14 season marking the sixth time ECU has started 3-0. The last time was 2008-09. The Lady Tigers have started a season 4-0 twice (1989-90/1987-88), 5-0 in 2001-02 and 7-0 twice (1995-96/1984-85).
Sharing The Rock
Like a year ago, the Lady Tigers are not afraid to share the spotlight. All 10 players have scored this season, with three averaging double-digit point totals. Nine-of-10 have also recorded at least one rebound and all 10 have at least one assist.
Alex Assisting
Senior
Alex Tucker had a strong all-around game against St. Gregory's (Nov. 12). The McAlester, Okla., native tallied 11 points and then dished out eight passes and added four steals against the Cavaliers. Combined with her career-high 10 assists against Southwestern Christian, Tucker has 21 assists so far in 2013-14.
Home Sweet Home
The Kerr Activities Center will be very busy in November, with the Lady Tigers hosting the first five games of the season at home. This marks the first time since 1984-85 that ECU has played five-straight home games to start a season. That season, the Lady Tigers went 7-0 to start, while ECU is already 3-0 in 2013-14.
Lady Tigers Picked Fourth in the GAC
After finishing fifth in the Great American Conference standings in 2012-13, ECU has been picked to finish fourth in the 2013-14 GAC Preseason Poll, as voted on by the league's head coaches.
The Lady Tigers earned 69 points in the poll. ECU improved by 11 wins in 2012-13 in going 19-9. Second-Team All-GAC forward
Dilan Webster averaged 14.0 points and 7.3 rebounds in league games last season.

Alycea Price also averaged at least 7.0 rebounds per game in GAC games.
Up Next
The Lady Tigers will continue their GAC season, Saturday, Nov. 23 when they host Henderson State at 2 p.m. The game will mark the final of five-straight home games to start the 2013-14 season.
