Scouting Mid-America Christian
The Evangels are 8-1 overall and 2-0 in the Sooner Athletic Conference after winning their last eight games. The streak has earned them a No. 7 ranking by the NCCAA and they are receiving votes in the latest NAIA poll.
MACU is averaging 79.8 points per game and allowing 66.0, while also holding a slim 44.7 to 42.9 rebounding margin. Three-point shooting is the key area for the Evangels. They are 77-of-244 (.316) for the season, while their opponents have been held to a .256 (31-of-121) mark.
MACU has four players that are averaging double-digits in the scoring column. Ashlee Ferguson leads the team with 14.6 points per game, while going 20-of-60 (.303) from beyond the arc. Adaugo Osuala nets 11 points and 3.8 rebounds per game, while Cheyenne Been contributes 10.8 points and 2.8 boards. Lauren McKinney is the final player in double-digits, with 10.2 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.

A year ago the Lady Tigers earned a 70-65 win on the road against MACU.
Juniors
Dilan Webster and
Erin Walling led the ECU returners in the game. Webster tallied 19 points, while Walling added 13 points, five rebounds and three assists.
Kelsie Dutton and April Williams are the top returners for the Evangels, who have quite a few new faces in 2013-14. Dutton garnered three points and two boards, while Williams added five points and two rebounds.
The Series
Tuesday's game will be just the third in the all-time series, which the Lady Tigers have won the previous two games.
Tiger Toy Drive
The ECU athletic department will be holding a Tiger Toy Drive in partnership with Mercy Hospital- Ada. The Tiger athletic department will be collecting new unwrapped toys, coloring books and crayons at the Tuesday, Dec. 17 women's basketball game against Mid-America Christian. Those in attendance can replace the cost of admission for a new toy. All toys collected will be donated to the Mercy Hospital-Ada Pediatrics Ward.
Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest
During the Dec. 17 game there will also be an Ugly Sweater Contest, with an Ugly Sweater Parade at halftime. The winner will receive a gift certificate to Rage.
Winning Start
The Lady Tigers started 4-0, marking the third time ECU has started 4-0. The last time was 1989-90. The Lady Tigers have started a season 4-0 twice (1989-90/1987-88), 5-0 in 2001-02 and 7-0 twice (1995-96/1984-85).
Sharing The Rock
Like a year ago, the Lady Tigers are not afraid to share the spotlight. All 10 players have scored this season, with four averaging double-digit point totals. All 10 have also recorded at least one rebound and one assist.
Home Sweet Home
The Kerr Activities Center was very busy in November, with the Lady Tigers hosting the first five games of the season at home. This marks the first time since 1984-85 that ECU has played five-straight home games to start a season. That season, the Lady Tigers went 7-0 to start, while ECU is already 3-0 in 2013-14.
Lady Tigers Picked Fourth in the GAC
After finishing fifth in the Great American Conference standings in 2012-13, ECU has been picked to finish fourth in the 2013-14 GAC Preseason Poll, as voted on by the league's head coaches.
The Lady Tigers earned 69 points in the poll. ECU improved by 11 wins in 2012-13 in going 19-9. Second-Team All-GAC forward
Dilan Webster averaged 14.0 points and 7.3 rebounds in league games last season.
Ashley Robison and
Alycea Price also averaged at least 7.0 rebounds per game in GAC games.
